Iinii Insights |
Moytoyi means spring in Blackfoot. The Spring equinox on March 20th will mark the first day of the season, bringing with it promises of new life, growth, and transformation. Na'a (Mother Earth) will begin to wake up and our non-human relations will share seasonal teachings for us to learn from. If we are wisely aware, we will notice ducks returning during the next lunar cycle; this is sa'aiki'somm (duck moon).

This experience not only showcased the artistry of fiddling but also deepened our students' appreciation for cultural heritage and traditions.
NLC Principal Advisory Group/School Council – Facebook
The Family & Friends of Niitsitapi Learning Centre is a private Facebook group created through the NLC Principal Advisory Group/School Council. This space allows parents and caregivers to connect, share events, activities, opportunities, and important information that often cannot be shared via the school newsletter. It will also serve as a place to collaborate on fundraising ideas and school initiatives. If you have or had a child attend Niitsitapi Learning Centre, past or present, we encourage you to join and invite other friends and families of NLC to join too!
The next Principal Advisory Committee/School Council meeting is on April 24 at 12:15 – 1:15pm prior to the Celebration of Learning hosted by Kindergarten.
