Health & Wellness at the CBE
At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.

Healthy Choices
The Niitsitapi Learning Centre follows the CBE Administrative Regulation 3047 - Nutrition, which promotes healthy eating. We are asking families to be guided by Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth.
We partner with Mount Royal University student nurses and our school nurse for our Comprehensive School Health Initiative. We follow nutritional guidelines; and encourage physical activity and overall optimal wellness for the Mind, Heart, Spirit and Body.
